Daniel J. Palay
Daniel J. Palay attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and has been practicing law in Ventura County since 1992. After extensive trial work, Mr. Palay became a partner in the law firm of McTague & Palay, where he practiced employment law.
In 2008, after the retirement of his long-time partner, Mr. Palay founded his own law firm. Mr. Palay has, historically, handled only the litigation of employment and class-action labor matters, on behalf of individual citizens.
Mr. Palay has been nominated for Ventura County Trial Lawyer of the Year for three consecutive years, winning the honor in 2007, as a result of winning a seven-figure disability discrimination case. He was named a Super Lawyer in 2012. Mr. Palay has been on the Board of Directors of the Ventura County Bar Association, and chaired the Ventura County Employment Law Bar.
During the last ten years, Mr. Palay has been involved with and supervised over 500 litigation matters and contested administrative hearings. He is responsible for the largest per-person wage and hour class action recovery in California history.
Mr. Palay and his wife have two children, and the family is involved in youth sports, arts, and various charitable organizations.
