Brian D. Hefelfinger
Brian Hefelfinger was born and raised in Ventura, California. He attended St. Bonaventure High School, and received an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Caltech. He attended law school at Pepperdine University, and graduated with honors.
Brian’s practice is exclusive to plaintiffs’ employment law. He is a confident, bright, and skilled trial lawyer, highly experienced in litigating matters in state court, federal court, and before administrative tribunals. He is admitted to practice in all California state and federal courts.
Brian’s employment law practice involves representing individuals in wage-and-hour cases (individual and class-action), claims for unpaid overtime, denied meal periods, and unpaid expense reimbursements. He also represents individuals who have been wrongfully terminated, been subject to breach of contract, or have suffered workplace discrimination. He regularly appears in civil courts throughout the state, and before the various district offices of the California Labor Commissioner.
Brian was named a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers Magazine for five consecutive years, and subsequently was named to the "Super Lawyer" list after that. He has been responsible for some of the largest per-person wage and hour class action recoveries in California history.
Prior to joining the Firm, Brian worked at Nordman, Cormany, Hair, and Compton LLP in Oxnard, California, and at Strauss & Strauss, APC in Ventura, California. During college and law school, Brian, worked in various engineering, sales, and management positions, giving him firsthand knowledge of, and appreciation for, the issues facing California employees.
He and his wife have four children.
